Each year I look forward to see what glitz and glamour the awards season brings, and this year’s offerings didn’t disappoint. A standout for me was Christina Hendricks, who paid homage to 1950s style with her va-va-voom curves and flame-coloured pout at the Golden Globes. To create her statement look as well as that of other notable beauties, check out our feature on red carpet glamour on page 28. We’ve highlighted the makeup trends (and how to pull them off!) that are set to dominate 2010.

We chat with the queen of morning TV, Kerri-Anne Kennerley, on page 52 about her tips on staying perennially gorgeous. As usual, we bring you loads of insightful articles and industry know-how to keep you looking and feeling your best – from the latest products (p18) and in-depth articles on skin health (p82) to getting the maximum mileage out of your favourite perfume (p40). We also take to the streets to road test some of the best beauty treatments (p134) around so you can be confident your next in-salon treatment is working for you.

Turn to page 102 for advice on how to have a good hair day every day and don’t miss our special Japanese feature (page 96) showcasing some of the best products the exotic Orient has to offer. If you’re a freewheeling organic type of girl, you’ll want to read ‘My Chemical Romance’ (p54) where we examine whether the must-have products adorning our beauty cabinets could come at the high price of our health.

For industry professionals, keep up to date with the current facial protocols (p120) and learn how to network like a pro (p126).
